IMAN USMAN
Muhammad Iman Usman is the co founder of an online course, it is ruangguru.com. He was born in Padang, 21 December 1991. He is known as the ASEAN Young Ambassador to Indonesia. And the founder of Indonesian Future Leads. Since childhoood he has shown an interest in the world of volunteerism and community development. He started his business in the age of fourteen with selling Harry Potter souvenir in his own website and made his mom as an asisstent. The one that motivate him to start his business is Harry Potter.
Because of Harry Potter He can improve his skill at english. When the first Harry Potter novel came to Indonesia, there's only the english versioned one. And Iman didn't live in an envirenment that push him to learn english. And he didn't understand about english, so he bought an electronic dictionary just to understand every single word in that book. In 2008, while still in high school, Iman recieved the 2008 Indonesia Young Leaders award from the president of the Republic of Indonesia and the United Nations Youth Assembly Recognition on Humanitarian Development 2011 in New York. After graduating in Padang 1 High School he achieve as the highest UN score.
After graduated from highschool, he continued to FISIP Indonesia University majoring in international relation. During his studies, he was known as an active and smart student. And in the age of 19, Iman was chosen to speech in front of the United Nation Assembly about youth. And now he is a part of the United Nation Assembly.
After his studies in America. Iman came back to Indonesia, and made Ruangguru.com. He made this online course with his bestfriend, Adamas Belva Syah Devara. The company has over 12 million users, and its the largest tutoring online company in Indonesia. Ruangguru.com services offered a subscription learning video services, private teacher search centers (online and offline), online training platforms for corporations and the public, online exam platforms, learning management systems, and others. Iman worked as the Chief Director (Chief Executive Officer) until June 2016 and later became the Product Director (Chief Product Officer) until now.
